Job Description
Join our team at Strategic Sight Consulting LLC for an opportunity as a Senior Database Manager supporting OPTEVFOR and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron ONE (VX-1). This role leads the development, configuration, administration, and management of complex test databases used to collect, preserve, analyze, and report data supporting developmental and operational T&E and tactics evaluation of Naval aircraft, weapons, and systems. Responsibilities and Background Develop and manage a test database environment consisting of backend data services and frontend data-collection capabilities compatible with existing VX-1 systems. Configure databases to support program-specific test information requirements and maintain compatibility as data structures, interfaces, and requirements evolve. Evaluate proposed database enhancements and recommend courses of action based on impacts to current and planned test-support operations. Extract and integrate test-related data from external sources, including NALCOMIS and onboard aircraft mission-planning or recording sources, for use in database-generated reports. Configure and operate database systems at VX-1 and provide on-site administrative support during test and tactics operations. Analyze database anomalies, support continuous availability, collect user feedback, and implement approved process or system improvements. Provide database training and orientation to VX-1 personnel and support program-specific user capabilities. Compile and extract data for technical products, aircrew briefs, and program-specific evaluation reports; identify data voids and apparent anomalies. Support test-data reduction, reliability and maintainability data collection, system-performance calculations, and qualitative-data analysis. Maintain data integrity, configuration control, traceability, and secure handling of test information throughout the collection and reporting lifecycle. Requirements United States citizenship. Minimum Top Secret security clearance. Specific task orders may require Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility; personnel must be eligible for the clearance required to begin performance at task award. Four or more years, within the last 8 years, of specialized professional experience developing and managing complex databases. Direct experience in developmental or operational T&E and/or tactics evaluation of aircraft, weapons, or systems. Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office software. Ability to support database configuration management, system administration, data extraction, validation, analysis, and report-generation requirements in a test environment. Ability to meet additional task-order-specific qualifications, including evolving data collection, analysis methodologies, and tools applicable to the assigned SUT.
