Full Job Description Experienced Critical Facilities Technician Location:
Saline, MI About the Opportunity We are seeking experienced Critical Facilities Technicians to support mission-critical data center operations in Saline, Michigan . This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability, availability, and efficiency of critical infrastructure systems that support 24/7 data center operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, root cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting within a mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical facility infrastructure within a data center environment. Support electrical, mechanical, cooling, and control systems to ensure maximum uptime and safe operation. Perform advanced diagnostics, failure analysis, and root cause investigations on critical equipment. Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on facility systems. Respond to critical alarms, incidents, and emergency situations while following established operational procedures. Assist with commissioning activities, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle replacement projects. Partner with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate maintenance and repairs. Utilize CMMS platforms to document maintenance activities, service records, and asset information. Interpret one-line diagrams, technical drawings, operating procedures, and manufacturer documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards, operating procedures, and data center best practices. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and operational excellence. Required Skills Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) Electrical Troubleshooting Mechanical Troubleshooting Mission-Critical Operations Data Center Operations Preferred Qualifications Experience with Switchgear & Electrical Distribution Systems Knowledge of UPS Systems and Backup Generators Experience supporting HVAC, CRAC, and CRAH Systems Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and EPMS Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 critical environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
