Capstone IT is partnering with one of the nation's leading retail organizations to identify a Senior Oracle Database Administrator who will support highly available, enterprise Oracle environments powering mission-critical retail operations.
This is an opportunity to join a mature infrastructure team responsible for the reliability, performance, and scalability of large Oracle database platforms supporting thousands of users across the enterprise. You'll play a key role in database administration, performance optimization, disaster recovery, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position is structured as a six-month contract-to-hire to support an accelerated hiring process. Candidates may work remotely during the contract engagement but must be willing to relocate to Springfield, Missouri within six months of converting to a full-time employee. Relocation assistance is available.
What You'll Do
Administer large-scale Oracle 19c production databases supporting critical enterprise applications
Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Oracle environments using OPatch and Oracle Release Updates (RUs)
Manage Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Clusterware, ASM, and Oracle Multitenant (CDBPDB) environments
Design, implement, and support Oracle Data Guard solutions, including switchover and failover operations
Develop and execute high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and recovery strategies using RMAN
