Full Time Position Overview

As a District P6 Database Administrator, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of the Disricts various Primavera P6 databases for all aspects of Nuclear Market work. This hands-on role will give you the opportunity to directly impact the structure, quality and integrity of the Oracle P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management system (EPPM). By assisting district schedulers with proper installation, setup, and maintenance of all project schedule files within all District P6 Databases, you will help to drive successful performance of the schedule team in their weekly & monthly tasks.

Location

Lenexa, KS, Oak Ridge TN, Idaho Falls, ID, Omaha, NE.Responsibilities Coordinate P6 database installation, setup, commissioning, and go-live readiness with IT and database owners.

Validate supported platform, server, client, database version, authentication, backup, restore, audit, and maintenance requirements.

Configure and support P6 Professional database connections, aliases, connection strings, and client database configuration.

Administer P6 security controls, including user access, global profiles, project profiles, OBS, Responsible Manager assignments, and least-privilege access.

Maintain EPS structure, project setup standards, global activity codes, UDFs, calendars, layouts, and InEight Reporting requirements.

Monitor database health, background jobs, cleanup routines, audit settings, scheduler activity, logs, and performance-related maintenance.

Support archive, export, baseline, copy-management, and retention processes for schedule data.

Quarantine external P6 XER Files needed for database imports, manage sandbox testing, and facilitate update controls to prevent unwanted global data changes.

Maintain administration records, access-review evidence, backup/restore ownership, audit records, and go-live signoff documentation.

Troubleshoot P6 database, client connection, security, configuration, and reporting issues.

Supervise and facilitate 3rd party client & partner schedule integration into a database-compatible CPM schedule environment.
