Job Description

Location:
Santa Teresa, NM 88008 Full-Time | Long-Term opportunity Data Center Low-Voltage Technician OSHA10 Certified by Vendor Internal Data Center 101 Training by Vendor Primary Responsibilities Install, route, secure and label fiber-optic and copper communications cabling. Terminate fiber and copper cables, connectors, patch panels and related components. Install low-voltage cabling and interconnections in racks, cabinets and approved pathways. Perform fiber testing, copper certification, continuity testing and basic troubleshooting. Install and connect telecommunications, security, access-control, audiovisual and other systems operating at 50 volts or less. Read construction drawings, cable schedules, rack elevations and installation instructions. Maintain accurate test results, daily reports, redlines, cable records and as-built documentation. Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years old. High school diploma, GED or equivalent field experience. Ability to travel, work assigned shifts and support scheduled workforce rotations. Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and work from ladders or elevated platforms. Ability to pass client-required background screening, drug testing, and site onboarding. Fiber Splicing experience Preferred Qualifications Data center, telecommunications, or mission-critical construction experience. Experience with ribbon fiber, mass-fusion splicing, OTDR testing and optical-loss testing. Additional OEM Certifications from AFL, Legrand, or Corning and others. Basic PPE like tool belts and some tools are a plus. Preferred Certifications
  • New Mexico E-3 License
  • BICSI Installer Certification (INST1, INSTC, or INSTF)
  • CNet Certification
  • Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certification
Technical or Trade School Certification Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
