We're seeking an experienced Database Administrator IV to provide expert-level guidance and solution design across complex Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) initiatives. In this role, you'll act as a trusted technology advisor, architect complex solutions, support strategic application decisions, and mentor less experienced team members while partnering with application teams, leadership, and vendors.

What You'll Do:

Architect and recommend complex RDBMS solutions that support short- and long-term business, application, technology, and customer requirements.

Partner with application owners and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into database designs, functional specifications, enhancements, and production solutions.

Serve as an RDBMS Subject Matter Expert (SME) for enterprise initiatives, complex projects, regulatory and compliance requirements, testing efforts, and system changes.

Oversee or review complex project plans, testing activities, issue resolution, business continuity, auditing, and production support to minimize risk and improve application reliability.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced personnel while collaborating with vendors and professional organizations on technology, product, and industry developments.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 8 years of Relational Database Management System experience

Minimum 10 years of experience working simultaneously on multiple projects of a complex nature.

Minimum 10 years of experience in leading large system and RDBMS enhancements, conversions, and production problem resolution.

Minimum 10 years of experience working with others to independently connect disparate ideas into cohesive solutions.

Minimum 10 years of experience in leading problem-solving efforts and lead in issue resolution.

Minimum 10 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Engineering

Minimum 10 years of experience in Ansible/Terraform Skillset

Minimum 10 years of experience in Microsoft Azure DB Platform Engineering

Minimum of 3 years experience with Bank applications, framework, business needs and RDBMS direction and framework.

Previous experience in banking RDBMS support.

CAPPM experience.

Awareness of the Bank's standards, business plan and strategic objectives with the ability to shape direction.

Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities in RDBMS project analysis, design, development, troubleshooting and tuning efforts.

Mastery level understanding of multiple RDBMS skills, tools and functions with advanced knowledge of operating systems.

Ability to understand businesses supported and their terminology.

Ability to encourage team work and serve as role model when leading and directing others.

Ability to understand technical, business and operational impacts of a project or problem.
