Pentaho Experience:
5-8 years Job Description We are looking for an experienced ETL Developer with strong Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle) expertise to design, develop, and maintain data integration and ETL solutions. Mandatory Skills Strong hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Kettle) . Experience designing and developing ETL workflows, transformations, and jobs using Pentaho. Strong SQL skills with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. Experience with data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading . Good understanding of ETL architecture, data warehousing, and dimensional data modeling . Experience handling large-volume data and optimizing ETL processes. Hands-on experience with Pentaho scheduling, error handling, logging, and monitoring . Ability to troubleshoot ETL failures and performance issues. Experience with shell scripting/Linux for ETL automation and production support. Knowledge of fact and dimension tables, SCD Type 1/Type 2, and data quality concepts. Responsibilities Develop and maintain Pentaho-based ETL pipelines and data integration workflows. Build reusable Pentaho transformations and jobs for batch and scheduled data processing. Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, flat files, APIs, and other systems. Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures supporting ETL processes. Perform data validation, cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation. Monitor production ETL jobs and resolve failures within defined SLAs. Optimize ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability. Implement logging, exception handling, restart/recovery mechanisms, and operational controls. Collaborate with data engineers, database teams, business analysts, and application teams. Prepare technical documentation for ETL mappings, workflows, and processes. Good to Have Experience with Pentaho Server / PDI Enterprise Edition . Knowledge of Linux/Unix scripting . Exposure to AWS/Azure/GCP data platforms. Experience with Git, Jenkins, or CI/CD . Familiarity with Hadoop, Spark, or modern data warehouse technologies
