Comprehensive Benefits Package Classification Systems Administrator I Compensation Notice CSU Classification Salary Range:
$69,444- $101,160 per year (Step 1
- Step 20); Step placement will be determined based on relevant qualifications and professional experience.
- Assist with technical support for the 22 CSU campuses by analyzing and troubleshooting basic campus system administration issues reported through Optimize cases.
- Perform system configuration, maintenance, and administration activities for the CSU's CMS PeopleSoft applications under supervision.
- Installation, monitoring, and integration support for third-party applications with PeopleSoft ERP.
- Support activities for Move-to-Productions for major applications and tools upgrades. These include installing PeopleSoft components (PIAs and Application domains) before or during upgrades.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation required to support the CSU Oracle/PeopleSoft system.
- Collaborate with all Information Systems teams as needed to understand and resolve campus system administration issues.
- Maintain awareness of all Oracle and PeopleSoft software updates and assist with implementation activities in coordination with Technical Services and Development teams.
- Assist with system monitoring, load balancing, and capacity tracking of the Infrastructure.
- Script and automate routine maintenance tasks as appropriate.
- Assist with special projects, as assigned.
- Provides coverage for after-hours on-call support as required.
Qualifications This position requires:
- This position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Proficiency with LINUX operating system.
- Proficiency in high-level scripting languages (Python preferred) as well as script environments such as KORN and BASH.
- Proficiency in Database Management and Structure Query Language (SQL).
- Ability to assist in the preparation and review of technical documentation in support of enterprise system implementations.
- Computer skills to appropriately troubleshoot and alter systems as required.
- Basic understanding of programming and debugging principles.
- Organizational and time management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
- Ability to stay current on relevant technologies and tools applicable to assigned duties.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to gather information from users, convey technical issues effectively, and produce documentation.
- Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to analyze and troubleshoot issues.
- Must be proactive and resourceful.
- Ability to provide on-call support as assigned. Preferred Qualifications
- California State University or other higher education experience is preferred.
