Job Description

Job Summary:

The Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) provides administration, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance support for enterprise Oracle database environments supporting DTC Global Services' federal customers. The Oracle DBA works with senior database administrators, developers, systems engineers, and other technical personnel to maintain secure, reliable, and efficient database environments.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Administer, monitor, and maintain Oracle databases across production and non-production environments. Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance. Monitor database availability, capacity, performance, and system resources and resolve identified issues.

• Perform database backup, recovery, restoration, cloning, and data migration activities. Administer database users, roles, privileges, and access controls in accordance with applicable security requirements. Perform SQL and database performance analysis and tuning. Develop and maintain SQL, PL/SQL, and other scripts used for database administration and automation. Troubleshoot database incidents, service requests, performance issues, and configuration problems. Support database changes, application releases, migrations, and disaster recovery activities. Collaborate with developers, engineers, and other technical personnel on database design, application performance, data integrity, and system enhancements. Maintain accurate database configuration, operational, and technical documentation. Support applicable federal and customer database security and compliance requirements. Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance and emergency support when required by the assigned contract. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant database administration experience. Hands-on experience administering Oracle databases in production and non-production environments. Experience with Oracle database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, backup, and recovery. Experience with Oracle database administration and monitoring tools. Proficiency with SQL and working knowledge of PL/SQL. Experience with database performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Experience administering database users, roles, privileges, storage, and other database resources. Experience working with Linux/Unix and/or Windows environments. An understanding of database security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery principles. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a technical team environment. Preferred Skills/Abilities Experience supporting Oracle databases in a Federal Government environment. Experience with Oracle APEX, ORDS, WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, or similar Oracle technologies. Familiarity with federal IT security requirements, including FISMA and NIST. Oracle Database Administrator certification or comparable Oracle certification.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree and a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience; OR High school diploma/equivalent and a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at time

Pay:

$115,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
