Senior Database Developer

Job Summary Seeking a Senior Database Developer to design, develop, and implement high-performance database solutions supporting enterprise applications and platforms. This role will focus on database development, ETL design, performance optimization, and technical solution implementation using Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable database solutions in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance database solutions Develop and support applications and frameworks using Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica, and Control-M Create and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers Optimize complex SQL queries and improve database performance and scalability Assess existing platform implementations and recommend enhancements to support evolving business needs Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation strategies Design and develop ETL processes and data integration solutions Support deployment, version control, and release management processes within enterprise environments Collaborate with geographically distributed teams, stakeholders, and business partners Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Support cloud deployment and containerization initiatives related to database technologies Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and data integration issues Contribute to technical planning, architecture discussions, and product improvement initiatives Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field 7-10 years of experience in information technology Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL programming including packages, procedures, functions, and triggers Hands-on experience with Informatica ETL development Strong understanding and experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) Experience with Oracle databases and SQL Server Experience optimizing complex queries and designing efficient database solutions Experience working within Agile development methodologies Knowledge of containerization and cloud deployment concepts related to database technologies Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across distributed teams Ability to adapt to changing business and technical environments Preferred Qualifications Experience within financial services or retirement domain environments Experience with additional databases such as Sybase Strong presentation and interpersonal skills Interest in learning and exploring emerging technologies and processes Experience working with globally distributed teams Certifications Relevant technical certifications preferred
