Responsibilities:
Pull, route, dress, and label fiber optic cable Terminate single-mode and multimode fiber Perform fusion splicing and maintain splice documentation Test fiber using OTDRs, OLTS, power meters, and light sources Troubleshoot fiber connectivity issues and resolve deficiencies Install fiber enclosures, patch panels, cassettes, and racks Read and interpret blueprints, fiber routing drawings, and splice documentation Maintain accurate labeling and documentation throughout the project Follow all OSHA and site safety requirements while maintaining clean, professional installations
Requirements:
2+ years of commercial fiber optic installation experience Experience pulling, terminating, testing, and fusion splicing fiber optic cable Proficient using OTDRs and fiber testing equipment Ability to read blueprints and fiber routing drawings OSHA 10 Certification (Required) Valid Driver's License Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, steel-toe boots) Ability to pass a drug screen and background check Why Work with Next Level Technician in Spartanburg, SC?
