Job Description

The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is hiring an Analytics Developer to join our IT team. The Analytics Developer designs, builds, and maintains the data solutions that power reporting and decision making across the Harris Center. This is a technical development role with primary responsibility for SQL baseddata interaction and pipeline work, data modeling for BI consumption, DAX development in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric Implementation support, and data visualization. The Analytics Developer applies technical knowledge to assigned analytics projects, collaborates with the data and analytics team on implementation, and contributes to the quality and accuracy of reporting solutions across the organization. Your role in Action Write, optimize, and maintain T-SQL queries to extract, transform, and aggregate data from agency database solutions, including Epic Caboodle/Clarity tables, Microsoft Fabric lake houses, and SQL-based data stores. Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards, including semantic data models (star schema), DAX measures and calculated columns, row-level security (RLS) configurations, and Power Query (M)transformations. Support Microsoft Fabric implementation efforts including lake house data ingestion, SQL analytics endpoint validation, dataflow development, and migration of existing data assets to the Fabric environment. Design and maintain data models that support reporting accuracy and reuse, including documentation of table grain, column definitions, metric logic, and known data limitations. Engage in data wrangling over structured and semi-structured sources; investigate data quality issues, validate outputs against source systems, and document findings for resolution. Participate in analytics development projects across the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical implementation, testing, and documentation, under the direction of the Principal Data Scientist. Provide technical data support to non-technical users and clinical/operational stakeholders; translate complex data questions into clear, accurate, and appropriately scoped analytical responses. Audit reports, data pipelines, and analytical solutions for inconsistencies, errors, and performance issues; monitor data trends in ongoing reports and escalate anomalies with documented findings. Comply with all Agency policies and procedures, including those governing security, HIPAA data confidentiality, and the appropriate handling of behavioral health and IDD information.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent.
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in analytics development, business intelligence, or data engineering — including hands-on work with SQL, data modeling, and BI platform development required. Experience with Power BI preferred.
