Job Description

Job Summary Our client, a leading technology provider, is seeking a Consultant, Database Administrator - NoSQL to join their team. This is an 8-month contract opportunity with potential for extension. The position will be fully onsite at the client's Round Rock, Texas office and will focus on NoSQL database administration, automation, platform development, and production database support across Linux VM and Kubernetes environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with multiple NoSQL database technologies, Ansible automation, OLAM playbook development, Kubernetes, Linux, and AI-native development using Devin for Spec Driven Development (SDD). This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities Provide day-to-day administration, monitoring, maintenance, and production support for NoSQL databases across Linux VM and Kubernetes environments Design, implement, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain highly available NoSQL database clusters across production and non-production environments Troubleshoot complex database issues involving performance, replication, disaster recovery, backups, connectivity, and configuration, while identifying and eliminating root causes Develop and implement Ansible automation and OLAM playbooks for NoSQL database provisioning, administration, and platform operations Support capacity planning, performance tuning, resource expansion, monitoring, compaction strategies, and database health management Develop database solutions and standards that support application and business requirements across multiple platforms and computing environments Provide technical leadership, consulting, mentoring, and guidance on database architecture, standards, security, automation, and long-term database strategies Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Strong hands-on experience administering at least two NoSQL database technologies, such as Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Neo4j, SingleStore, StarDog, or similar platforms Extensive experience managing NoSQL databases in Linux VM and Kubernetes environments Strong hands-on experience with Ansible automation and OLAM playbook development Experience with NoSQL database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, troubleshooting, and ongoing administration Strong understanding of database clustering, replication, multi-datacenter configurations, high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/recovery Experience with database monitoring, performance tuning, capacity planning, resource management, and compaction strategies Experience with AI-native Spec Driven Development (SDD) for NoSQL database platform provisioning, automation, development, and support, including use of Devin Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Ansible automation development certification DataStax Cassandra certification Elasticsearch certification Neo4j certification Experience with database security, connectivity, role management, data classification, and data privacy Experience evaluating database technologies and supporting vendor/product strategy Experience establishing global database standards, tools, procedures, and implementation strategies

Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $48.00 and $68.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
