About the team:

The team establishes and maintains a unified workforce language to support data governance and stewardship, delivering global workforce metrics, KPIs, and SLAs. They focus on data first principles to ensure reliable and fit-for-purpose data. Collaborating across business domains, the team drives data governance practices and aligns data initiatives with organizational objectives. They provide guidance on data sourcing, integration, and quality management while fostering continuous improvement and adherence to regulatory standards. This team plays a critical role in enabling data-driven decision-making and advancing Walmart's data capabilities globally.

• What you'll do...
• + Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data governance, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology standards.

+ Develop and maintain data dictionaries and data governance frameworks to support data quality and accessibility. + Oversee data source identification, validation, and quality assessment to ensure data fitness for purpose. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and strategies. + Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data management practices and system performance.

• What you'll bring:
• + Extensive experience in data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling across relational and NoSQL databases.
