Job Description

  • General Description:
  • The Senior Manager, Channel Data Management will serve as the strategic partner and technology leader for scaling a modern data management platform in support of the commercialization of BeOne's Oncology and Hematology portfolio in the US and Canada.
This position will report to the Director, Channel Data Management and will partner closely with Market Access, Commercial Operations, Business Planning & IT organizations. This role will leverage deep familiarity with pharmaceutical data and lead continuous technology improvements and identify innovative ways of provisioning data and key business insights to help the Commercial organization achieve desired business outcomes. The position will focus on securing high quality data while building partnerships across Market Access, Channel partners, data aggregators and commercial data infrastructure teams to provide operational insights on various distribution and patient support programs and facilitate providing key business insights to Commercial teams.
  • Essential Functions of the job:
  • + Develop strong relationships with data providers (3PL, Specialty Distributors (SDs), Specialty Pharmacies (SPP), HUB and Patient Services Program) and setup a governance structure to review compliance with SOPs and drive continuous improvements.
Focus on maintaining and expanding extensive data quality checklists while securing timely and accurate data from channel partners. + Leads the vendor relationships and drives vendor partnerships and awareness of business objectives. Seeks to have the most effective processes with the vendor and partners with the rest of the Data Acquisition team to ensure vendor and Commercial Data Management & Strategy interface effectively. + Cultivate strategic and operational relationships with key stakeholders within the commercial + functions to deeply understand business operations and objectives in order to serve as a strategic and valued business partner having pharmaceutical data and analytics expertise. + Collaborate with Market Access team to develop data pipelines from distribution channels, patient HUB, co-pay program administration and develop an intuitive data provisioning layer to facilitate key business insights. + Direct and project manage the efforts of the Data Aggregator and their data and analytics platform to facilitate provisioning of key insights on Channel partner performance, Channel distribution transparency, and patient support needs. + Have a strong understanding of distribution data flow and create a strategic plan for acquisition of data supplementing the known gaps. + Facilitate continuous improvement of existing data design, process and templates by tactically focusing on business outcomes: + Implement and monitor tools and processes that improve execution. + Support efforts in de-identified patient mastering and data aggregation across channel and secondary data sets. + Develop good understanding of the security, compliance and business continuity needs of the business, and setup necessary checkpoints as part of the solution architecture framework to address the same. + Implement a shared repository to support and maintain project documentation such as business requirements documents, technical design documents, mapping documents, data flow diagrams, dashboard and report specifications etc.
  • Qualifications:
  • + BA or BS in a science discipline or related field with 7+ years of Pharmaceutical industry working in Data Management, Commercial operations, Market Access operations or related experience.
+ 7+ years of experience in design, implementation, and/or analytics platform (data integration, aggregation, ETL/transformations, data hub) support in the biotech/ pharmaceutical industry. + Experience establishing and/or building out a Channel data aggregation function preferred. + Experience with Channel data providers and data warehouse reporting and analytics solutions is a must. + Strong data compliance experience with pharmaceutical business knowledge and technical aptitude to define and advance commercial solutions. + Excellent written / verbal communication skills and presentation and project management skills. Effective meeting leadership experience in order to move the discussion from ideas to solutions and documentation of very clear and specific next steps. + Ability to articulate complex technical problems and solutions to a wide business audience and communicate solution value. + Ability to coordinate needs assessments across the commercial organization, and an ability to deliver a comprehensive solution to those needs. + Demonstrated ability to work well within a matrixed environment, and an ability to build solid relationships / make connections across the organization. + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and solid business acumen with the ability to manage and provision large amounts of data to enable business analysis with a high level of performance and trust. + Must be able to identify operational weakness and implement corrective action / plan.
