Technical Project Manager, Data Management Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager for a key role in our Data Analytics team. This individual will spearhead the collection, management, standardization, and governance of data across multiple functional domains. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data management, analytics, and technical oversight to ensure robust data governance, tracking, and standardization in support of our mission-critical analysis and reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute data collection and management related activities, including systems analysis, data processing, and data storage solution development Develop and implement a plan for data collection, organization, and management for all data within the purview of the PMO Coordinate with multiple teams to understand data types and usage, from the broadest use case to individual field data types for each individual team. Catalogue and standardize data in a manner that allows continued utilization by individual teams while also providing visibility to PMO leadership, team members, and data analysts to increase efficiencies across analysis and reporting efforts Ensure governance considerations are implemented to conform with any required agency, data retention, formatting, usage, and collection requirements. Ensure data collection, storage, and management are implemented within available toolsets and software to maximize availability while maintaining access controls and permissions Ensure available data is adequate to meet SOW and reporting requirements, as well as to develop insight into potential service improvements. Manage day-to-day project execution and support long-term strategic planning of data management to align with contract objectives Lead data collection, management, and standardization efforts through planning and coordination with all PMO teams Translate SOW and contract reporting requirements into data collection and management requirements that can be incorporated into the governance plan Support data lifecycle activities, including communication and reporting on standardization efforts, updates to fields or data types, coordination across teams when data changes, and documentation of changes. Implement data governance, quality control, and compliance practice Coordinate across functional teams to ensure integrated solution delivery Serve as primary POC for data collection, cataloguing, and standardization across the
PMO Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in data analysis, management, or similar field preferred; an additional four (4) years of experience be substituted in lieu of a degree Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience in addition to education level Proficiency with data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management practices Strong stakeholder communication and ability to translate business needs into technical/data requirements Strong ability to understand and categorize data usage across functional domains Proficiency in SQL and data querying Experience with data warehouses, databases, and data architecture concepts Familiarity with Tableau Working knowledge of ETL processes and data pipelines Basic scripting experience such as Python preferred; knowledge of data modeling preferred Must possess current PMP or CSM certification Experience working in a DoD or IC environment Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph Equal Opportunity Employer/Veteran/Disabled group id: 90789821 Apply now
