Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview. This role bridges the gap between high-level regulatory requirements and day-to-day data/AI projects and operations. Direct involvement in AI and data governance operational workflows ensures that company policies, standard operating procedures, and standards are actionable and practical across business units. The position addresses the challenge of converting complex emerging frameworks into clear execution standards while preventing policy bloat through continuous cross-functional feasibility testing. What Success Looks Like (Objectives): Draft, review, and update actionable governance policies, standards, and procedures to align operations with organizational objectives Maintain the Dictionary of Policies, Classifications, and Standards with strict version control and seamless access Translate emerging frameworks like NIST AI RMF, Colorado Automated Decision-Making Technology Act (ADMTA), and EU AI Act into practical operational checklists Road-test new standards alongside engineering, data science, and product teams to eliminate friction Create decision trees, templates, and guides that enable measurable governance reporting Connect Governance Leadership with Forward Deployed Expertise teams to drive cross-departmental execution
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
