Part-time 30•35 hours You will be working with consumers, completing intakes and information and referrals, supporting goals. This is not an HR position. The Information & Referral and Intake Independent Living Specialist will serve as the initial point of contact for individuals seeking services from the organization. This position is responsible for receiving and inputting referrals into the agency's database, linking individuals to appropriate community resources, and determining suitable referrals to internal services. The role includes completing initial intake forms prior to transferring individuals to the appropriate Independent Living Specialist to complete the service opening and maintaining an accurate and up-to-date resource database. As part of the core elements of the mission of disABILITY LINK, the Information & Referral and Intake Independent Living Specialist is responsible for working with all ages and types of people with disabilities in setting and maintaining goals to become independent or maintain independence in the community. These independent living (IL") services include, but are not limited to: individual and systems advocacy, independent living skills training, information and referral services, transition services and peer support to people with disabilities, their families, and the community.
