at Department of Healthcare and Family Services in Springfield, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Overview The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Division of Finance, Bureau of Federal Finance is seeking to hire a motivated and dynamic manager for the Technical Support Unit. The BFF is responsible for federal financial reporting of the Medicaid, Children’s Health Insurance Program ( CHIP ) and Child Support programs maximizing federal revenue of approximately $14 billion annually. This position will independently conduct complex technical research and system analysis of the Federal Financial Participation Program and federal claiming systems, run ad hoc reports using the Enterprise Data Warehouse to facilitate data management decisions, and consult with Bureau staff concerning system needs and objectives. This position also plans, organizes, develops, analyzes, and evaluates complex department-wide federal claiming support systems for the Department of Healthcare and Family Services ( HFS ). Additionally, the position will coordinate and conduct in-depth management operations studies, develop federal claiming models to project spending levels, payment cycles, and funding levels, and provide training to system support staff in application and maintenance functions.
