Senior Computer Information Systems Manager

Senior Computer Information Systems Manager(Multiple states)Full TimeExperiencedOmitron is seeking a Senior Computer Information Systems Manager to serve as Transition Lead and senior technical operations manager for a secure data processing and distribution enclave (Red LAN) used to receive and distribute Space Domain Awareness (SDA) data. During the 90-day Transition-In period, this individual leads the transition effort and is the Government COR's direct point of contact on transition schedule. Following transition, the role continues as the senior technical operations manager responsible for sustainment of the enclave.



This individual manages the sustainment staff supporting the transition effort and reports directly to the Program Manager. The role requires hands-on IT operations management experience alongside the discipline to run a formal, milestone-driven transition on a classified, multi-site network.

  • ResponsibilitiesAs Computer Information Systems Manager / Transition Lead, you are accountable for:

Transition Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Government COR on all transition schedule matters.
  • Manage the sustainment team's transition activities throughout the 90-day Transition-In period.
  • Work closely with the sustainment team to capture risks and complete initial configuration evaluations.
  • Prepare for and lead the transition kickoff meeting with the Government and the incumbent contractor.

Transition Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor transition progress daily against defined performance metrics, including milestone and activity progress, CDRL template preparation, HR onboarding, security clearance tracking, and facilities and property verification.
  • Present transition metrics at weekly Government transition status meetings.

Mission Operations Continuity

  • Ensure continuous, 24-hour receipt, processing, and distribution of data across the enclave.
  • Manage staffing strategy to transition the team to 24/7 operations, help desk and infrastructure support, and scale staffing for future growth.

Post-Transition Systems and Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee post-transition system and database administration for the enclave.
  • Oversee IT infrastructure and network maintenance support.
  • Oversee operational hardware and software refresh activities.
    Minimum Requirements
  • US Citizenship required.
Security Clearance:

Active TS/SCI required; SAP eligibility required or must be attainable.

    Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

      Experience:

      10 or more years of IT/information systems management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management or lead role on classified DoD or IC networks.

      • Demonstrated experience managing system transitions or IT operations across multi-site, multi-classification domain environments.
      • Strong working knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), Authority to Operate/Authority to Connect (ATO/ATC) processes, and configuration management/Configuration Control Board (CCB) governance.
      • Periodic travel is required. Preferred Qualifications
      Education:

      Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

      • Prior experience serving as a Transition Lead or Transition Manager on a DoD or IC sustainment contract.
      • Direct experience supporting Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, U.S. Space Force, or Intelligence Community mission environments.
      • Experience standing up or scaling a 24/7 operations or help desk function.
      • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP).
      • Familiarity with facilities and property accountability processes on a classified government contract. Working Relationships
      • Reports to: Program Manager, Red LAN.
      Manages:

      Sustainment staff supporting the transition and, tafter, ongoing IT operations.

        Customer Interface:

        Government COR, on transition schedule and status; Program Management Office as required. Schedule and Environment

        • On-site at a secured, classified facility; specific site(s) to be confirmed at award.
        • Supports continuous, 24-hour data processing and distribution operations; may require non-standard hours during transition and surge periods.
        • Periodic travel required to support transition activities, Government meetings, and site visits.

Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this role is $180,000 to $215,000, depending on relevant experience, location, contract award terms, and other factors.
