40.0 Responsibilities Manage and optimize the infrastructure and data related to advanced metering systems for utility companies. Oversee the daily operations of AMI systems, including meters, communication networks, data collection, and storage systems. Maintain and update master data such as customer account information, meter IDs, and related metadata. Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot data collected from smart meters to ensure accuracy and identify trends. Coordinate the deployment and installation of smart meters, ensuring proper functioning. Implement and manage security protocols to safeguard metering data against unauthorized access and cyber threats. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry regulations related to AMI and data management. Generate reports and dashboards for system performance and data insights. Collaborate with billing, customer service, and other departments to integrate AMI data into operational workflows. Work with vendors to procure equipment, software, and support services for AMI and MDM systems. Train staff on system operations, data management best practices, and cybersecurity measures. Identify opportunities for system upgrades, process improvements, and cost efficiencies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, or a related field. At least 4 years of experience in AMI operations, data management, or utility operations. Proficiency with AMI technologies, data management tools, and cybersecurity practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for interpreting metering data. Knowledge of utility industry regulations and data management standards. Effective communication skills for coordination with teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies. Experience in project management, especially for large-scale AMI deployments, is a plus. Attention to detail to ensure data quality and system reliability.
