Position Summary:
Digital Operations Manager, Books, is responsible for managing ingestion, QC, prep, and fulfillment to deliver book content to hoopla. They enforce policies, establish ingestion rules, and troubleshoot ingestion-related issues for organizations. The Digital Operations Manager, Books also assists with company and department-driven projects.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must fulfill the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requirements listed below. Understand and coordinate team members' work assignments by setting task priorities to satisfy required production standards and deadlines. Identify and execute process optimization opportunities, benefiting productivity and quality. Oversee input of products into the database with accuracy and completeness while following company policies and procedures. Manage and track operational KPIs. Present reports to senior leadership as needed. Work closely with content providers to conduct on-boarding set-ups, resolve issues, and improve processes. Monitor industry landscape to identify emerging areas of opportunity. Identify and implement employee training strategies, designed to foster employee development. Identify and take action to reconcile trending systemic data errors or workflow failures or report them to the Director of Digital Operations. Address questions within the organization and department related to issues impeding production at the required output standards. Monitor and report team productivity. Provide input to the Director of Digital Operations regarding team resource planning and participate in recruitment and hiring efforts. Review and approve employee timecards and time-off requests per company policies. Oversees members of the team, addresses team concerns, and completes requirements in ADP for team members, including performance reviews.
Skills:
Strong people management skills. Must possess strong leadership skills & experience with project management. Be highly self-motivated, well-organized, and able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines. Analytically minded, able to manipulate large data sets to gather insights and to work with the data team to structure new projects. The ability to manage large amounts of digital media assets. Familiarity with the tools, concepts, and methodologies of SFTP and other file transfer technologies Familiarity with mobile devices, including both iOS and Android. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to communicate technical issues. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously. Collaborative nature and willingness to work with team members from all disciplines. Be able to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively. Advanced Computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 with particular emphasis on
MS Excel Preferred Education Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in electronic media, computer science, data science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience in content management, data management, or analysis. 1-2 years of leadership experience. Experience in Jira, programming languages like SQL, and visualization tools. Working knowledge of Digital Content Management Concepts.
