Full Job Description Overview:
Apoge is seeking a motivated Data Strategy & Planning Lead who will lead development and implementation of enterprise-wide data strategies that align with NASIC's long-range mission objectives and IT roadmaps. Translates complex data governance concepts into clear mission value and drives stakeholder alignment through structured communication and planning. •Contingent Upon Contract Award•
Responsibilities:
Design and refine enterprise data strategies supporting NASIC mission priorities and IT modernization roadmaps. Translate data governance, security, and lifecycle concepts into operationally relevant guidance and actions. Develop and execute communication plans to align IT stakeholders, production groups, and leadership around the data strategy. Identify gaps in current data posture and recommend investments, processes, and standards to close them. Coordinate with mission partners to ensure data strategies are integrated across programs. Produce the monthly Data Strategy Posture Report documenting progress, risks, and recommended technical standards.

Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 8+ years of experience in data strategy, enterprise data management, or related analytic/IT disciplines. Experience developing or implementing data strategies in complex, mission-driven organizations. Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lifecycle concepts. Proven ability to communicate complex technical topics to senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Analytics, Information Management, MBA with IT focus). Experience with DoD or IC data strategies and digital modernization initiatives. Familiarity with data cataloging, data quality tools, and enterprise architecture frameworks. Experience aligning data strategy with cloud migration and advanced analytics/AI initiatives.
