Job Description
Position Summary The Crop Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing crop inventory records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring accurate tracking of production and sales data. This role works closely with accounting and operations to maintain accurate records for budgeting, billing, and inventory management. Core ResponsibilitiesFinancial & Reporting (Weekly/Monthly)
- Prepare monthly budget-to-actual reporting
- Running Y irrigation budget & year end summary
- Perform reconciliation for Windy Ridge sales, as needed
- Prepare and track intercompany transactions including labor (internal and contractors), power and fuel, and fertilizer and chemicals
- Troubleshoot and resolve crop billing issues
- Assist with annual budgeting process
- Management of organic records and renewals
- Crop insurance reporting
FSA/NCRS
reporting Crop Inventory & Tracking- Review, validate, and reconcile crop inventory tracking and reporting summaries
- Oversee tracking of:
- Grain and hay planting, harvest, and contract data
- Potato seed inventory
- THF/SSF crop inventory
- Verify completeness and accuracy of data entered by operations or administrative staff
- Monitor and confirm outside carriers hauling for hire during harvest are properly tracked and recorded
- Establish and maintain standard processes and controls to ensure data integrity across all crop records Administrative Support
- Perform general administrative support for leadership, as needed
- Liaison with Farm Managers Successful candidates will have:
- An analytical mind, a critical eye for detail and be comfortable with numbers and problem-solving
- A self-starter attitude who prides themselves on producing accurate and complete documentation
- Knowledge of theoretical accounting, experience with intercompany eliminations a plus
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is a plus
- Minimum 5 years' experience: Management Experience Microsoft Office/Excel, experience with Access a plus Data Management Record Keeping
- General bookkeeping & office management
- Functions experience including: Governmental reporting Financial tracking & reporting Working with multiple, but separate business entities in the same office
