Job Description
Overview JM Trucking LLC is a small, family‑run fleet based in Malin, Oregon, running long‑haul lanes throughout the Pacific Northwest, Mountain West, and Southwest. We operate with respect, honesty, and high standards — no micromanaging, no chaos, and no broken promises. We're expanding our fleet and looking for a driver who wants a long‑term home, not just another job. Duties We're hiring a full‑time CDL Class A driver for regional and long‑haul routes pulling a 48‑foot flatbed Conestoga. This is true flatbed work, not dry van or drop‑and‑hook. You must be comfortable with securement, tarping systems, and load responsibility. Flatbed experience is required. Safely operate tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight, including specialized cargo such as flatbeds Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized delivery routes while adjusting for traffic or road conditions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations. Document delivery details accurately, including mileage logs, delivery receipts, and incident reports. Communicate effectively with the dispatch team to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Familiarity with flatbeds is required. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently. Experience with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning. Strong manual handling skills for load & unload operations; experience in truck loading/unloading is a plus. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance on long-haul routes. Ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols while managing sensitive cargo.
