Full Job Description Data Warehouse & Reporting Manager Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Warehouse & Database Administrator with strong experience in Power BI and data analytics to support and enhance our enterprise data platform. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional who can manage and optimize data warehouse infrastructure, administer databases, and build intuitive data models and dashboards that inform business decisions. The successful candidate will bring a combination of database architecture knowledge, ETL proficiency, and business intelligence skills to deliver reliable, timely, and insightful analytics across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Data Warehouse & Database Administration:
Design, develop, and manage enterprise data warehouses, including schema design, indexing, and performance tuning Administer, monitor, and maintain relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) Ensure high availability, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for critical data systems Manage and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading Enforce data governance, access controls, and security protocols across environments
Power BI & Data Analytics:
Develop and publish Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards tailored to business user needs Design robust data models and relationships to support self-service analytics Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations Maintain data refresh schedules, optimize performance, and ensure dashboard accuracy Educate and support end users in leveraging Power BI for data-driven decision-making
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy:
Partner with business, IT, and data teams to ensure alignment between data strategy and organizational goals Identify opportunities to improve data architecture, reduce redundancy, and enhance reporting capabilities Support ad hoc reporting, data discovery, and strategic analytics initiatives
Requirements Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field 5+ years of experience in data warehousing and database administration 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI development and data modeling Proficiency with SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data integration techniques, and data pipeline management Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, or similar RDBMS platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or Data Lake environments Familiarity with DAX, Power Query (M), and Power BI Service administration Exposure to cloud-based data warehousing tools like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift Understanding of data governance, quality, and compliance practices Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation
