Job Summary:
The Director of Information Systems & Technology is responsible for developing and executing the company's technology strategy while ensuring all business systems, infrastructure, data, and technology resources effectively support organizational growth and operational excellence. This role serves as a strategic business partner to leadership, overseeing technology infrastructure, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, systems integration, business intelligence, and process improvement initiatives. The Director will lead the modernization of ILLING Packaging's technology ecosystem while helping the organization leverage technology, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to improve efficiency, visibility, decision-making, and customer experience. As ILLING Packaging continues its digital transformation, this position will play a critical role in creating a scalable technology foundation that supports long-term growth.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
    None Duties/Responsibilities:
    Technology Strategy & Leadership
    • Develop and maintain a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with company goals and growth objectives.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and competitiveness.
    • Partner with executive leadership to align technology investments with business priorities.
    • Establish technology governance, standards, policies, and best practices across the organization.
    • Develop annual technology budgets and manage technology-related capital investments. IT Operations & Infrastructure
    • Oversee all IT infrastructure, including networks, cloud environments, telecommunications, hardware, software, cybersecurity, and end-user support.
    • Ensure the reliability, security, performance, and scalability of all technology systems.
    • Lead disaster recovery, business continuity, cybersecurity, and risk management initiatives.
    • Manage technology vendors, service providers, licensing agreements, and support contracts.
    • Establish service-level expectations and ensure timely support for all users. Enterprise Systems & Integration
    • Own the strategic direction and performance of enterprise business systems, including ERP, CRM, Microsoft 365, warehouse systems, production systems, and future business applications.
    • Develop integration strategies that improve data flow and eliminate manual processes across departments.
    • Lead ERP modernization efforts, upgrades, and evaluation of future cloud-based solutions.
    • Partner with department leaders to identify system gaps and opportunities for improvement.
    • Ensure technology solutions support operational, sales, customer service, finance, warehouse, and production workflows. Data, Reporting & Business Intelligence
    • Establish a roadmap for centralized business reporting and analytics.
    • Support the development of executive dashboards and performance reporting across key business functions.
    • Improve access to actionable data that supports decision-making and performance management.
    • Partner with leadership to define key business metrics and reporting standards.
    • Promote data accuracy, governance, and accessibility throughout the organization. Process Improvement & Automation
    • Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve efficiency through process redesign and automation.
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives that streamline workflows and improve productivity.
    • Evaluate and implement automation technologies that create measurable business value.
    • Partner with department leaders to continuously improve operational processes. Digital Transformation & AI Readiness
    • Develop a long-term strategy for leveraging artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies.
    • Ensure the organization's systems, data, and infrastructure are prepared to support future AI initiatives.
    • Evaluate practical AI use cases that improve employee productivity, customer experience, and business performance.
    • Stay current on technology trends and advise leadership on opportunities and risks. Microsoft 365, Collaboration & User Adoption
    • Lead optimization and adoption of Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook.
    • Establish document management, collaboration, and information governance standards.
    • Develop user training and change management programs that improve technology adoption.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and effective technology utilization. Required Skills & Qualifications

    • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in information systems, technology, or business systems management.
    • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, logistics, packaging, or industrial organizations preferred.
    • Experience leading ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, or cloud migrations preferred.
    • Experience managing cross-functional technology projects and third-party vendors.
