Job Description:
Job Overview Enterprise Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Data Management (PDM) solutions have long been a strength of TE Connectivity. The Digital Engineering Solutions (DES) organization is focused on understanding how our businesses design, manufacture and introduce new products throughout the product lifecycle. Typical process areas concentrated on include Portfolio and Program Management, Part/BOM/CAD Data Management, Engineering Change Management, Component and Supplier Management and Product/Trade/Environmental Regulatory Compliance. Digital Engineering Solutions is seeking an experienced Principal Data Analyst to join our team. The Principal Data Analyst serves as a senior individual contributor and technical leader and is responsible for advanced data analysis, mentoring and guiding other data analysts, and establishing best practices for data and database management across engineering applications. This position will partner closely with business stakeholders, application teams, data engineers, and architects to ensure analytical solutions are accurate, scalable, well governed, and aligned with enterprise standards. This role operates across both traditional relational database platforms and modern cloud based analytics platforms. Job Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Mentorship
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to data analysts across the organization.
  • Promote consistent analytical standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the analyst community. Data & Database Standards
  • Define, document, and maintain best practices for data analysis and database management across enterprise applications.
  • Establish standards for SQL development, data modeling, query performance optimization, and data usage patterns. Platform & Technology Expertise
  • Design and optimize analytical queries and data structures using relational database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server and PostgresSQL.
  • Utilize modern analytics platforms such as Databricks for large scale data analysis and collaborative analytics.
  • Partner with data engineering and platform teams to influence analytical data design and performance strategies. Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with application owners, architects, and engineering teams to ensure analytical needs are considered in solution design. What your background should look like:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field with 10+ years of experience
  • Extensive experience in data analysis within enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience relational database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, including advanced SQL development and performance tuning.
  • Experience working with modern data platforms such as Databricks.
  • Familiarity with database programming languages such as
PL/SQL, SSIS
  • Demonstrated ability to define, document, and drive adoption of data and database best practices.
  • Proven experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to other data analysts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in governed data environments, including data catalogs, metadata management, and data quality processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud based analytics architectures and large scale data processing concepts

COMPENSATION
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $143,00 - $214,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
