Job Summary The College of Science Office of Data Management is looking to hire 2 Student Data Assistants for the future academic year (AY) 2026-27. During the academic year, the position is hybrid with at least 10 hours in office between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday with an additional 1-5 hours of remote work (for a total of 10-15 hours per week). This position will be part of a team of data assistants, working to support the Office of Data Management by creating, updating, and modifying administrative reports and dashboards; validating records and reports; collecting and formatting data; and documenting reporting and analysis processes. We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:- First- or second-year undergraduate students
- Solid logical reasoning and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented, meticulous, and accurate
- Ability to maintain security of sensitive data
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, especially in Excel Desired but not required criteria:
- Experience in R/R Studio and/or Python for data cleaning and transformation
- Familiar with Purdue's undergraduate science programs
- Working knowledge of Tableau or experience in data visualization or a desire to learn
- Preference will be given to candidates with availability to continue into future academic years (26-27, etc.
