Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Manager to lead enterprise data governance initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across cloud-based platforms while driving governance strategy, managing core data assets, and supporting full data lifecycle management. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of data governance strategies, policies, and procedures aligned to business objectives Manage a team of data analysts and data management professionals, including project oversight and prioritization Define and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness across systems Establish data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across the full data lifecycle Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify governance needs and deliver scalable solutions Oversee data classification, access, sharing, and reference data management practices Implement data tagging, classification, and access controls to protect sensitive information and support regulatory compliance Maintain documentation of data assets, metadata, and lineage using enterprise data catalog tools Design and implement data quality processes including profiling and cleansing strategies Utilize and support governance tools while maintaining hands-on involvement with SQL and Python where needed Advocate for data governance best practices and promote a data-driven culture across the organization Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or related field (Master's preferred) 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data engineering 3+ years of leadership or management experience Experience with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data lineage tools Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance standards Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills Deep understanding of data quality, governance, and compliance principles
