Job Description

Daniel Morgan Technology Center is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Information Management Assistant to support the organization's data governance, records management, and information systems operations. This role assists in maintaining accurate data, organizing digital and physical records, and ensuring information is secure, accessible, and compliant with internal policies. The Information Management Assistant works closely with IT staff, administrative departments, and leadership to support efficient information flow and operational effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Information & Data Management Maintain and update electronic and physical filing systems. Assist in organizing, indexing, and archiving documents and records. Ensure proper version control and document classification. Enter, verify, and update data in databases and information systems. Generate reports and data summaries as requested. Systems & Technical Support Provide basic support for document management systems and internal databases. Assist with system audits to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Support the implementation of new information management tools or processes. Troubleshoot minor system or access issues and escalate when necessary. Compliance & Security Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive information. Support compliance with record retention policies and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal audits and documentation reviews. Follow cybersecurity best practices related to data access and storage. Administrative Coordination Coordinate with departments to gather and distribute information. Prepare documentation for meetings, reports, and compliance reviews. Maintain logs and tracking systems for document and data requests. Recommend improvements to information management processes.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in data entry, records management, or administrative support. Experience with document management systems or database software preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with database systems and digital filing platforms. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy and completeness of data entry. Timely retrieval and distribution of information. Compliance with retention and security policies. Reduction in data discrepancies and document errors.
