Lead and coordinate projects with technology department staff and contractors in order to ensure effective integration of systems and support implementation. Lead, coordinate, and evaluate the activities of staff toward common departmental and organizational goals, improving user effectiveness, optimizing the use of system functionality, and fostering innovation. Oversee system development and enhancement, and the integration among systems where needed to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Articulate a clear understanding and direction for the district data collection and reporting to district staff and establish standards for data collection consistent with best practice. Accurately move and validate information between data systems and provide requested information through files and reports. Provide troubleshooting assistance to data irregularities and corrective action Provide and/or coordinate professional development opportunities for district personnel to maintain accurate data reporting. Ensure district Data systems comply with disaster recovery standards and data is backed up appropriately. Oversee security access to all district Data Systems Assist district PEIMS coordinator with data related issues and collection needs. Oversee district student analysts, specialists, and clerk positions. Maintain up-to-date system and user documentation. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Participate in professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of rules, regulations, and practices Ability to keep up with PEIMS data and system security standards Take initiative to develop needed professional skills appropriate to job assignments. Direct and manage the district data systems and support staff of the district. Develop and implement procedures on data management, data exchange, and ensure compliance with applicable state laws and regulations.Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree Three years of Skyward Finance/HR experience preferred Five years effectively leading the implementation, optimization, utilization, and maintenance of large information systems. Experience in leading new projects and managing ongoing systems and staff to ensure operational effectiveness.Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical skills. Advanced experience with multiple computer applications; knowledge of scripting desirable. Experience with various data systems and structures, including Skyward, SQL, Crystal Reports/Business Objects, Web Intelligence, Google Suite, and Microsoft Access. Knowledge of industry data standards and integrations. Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with district employees and contractors. Working knowledge of information systems analysis Ability to develop and maintain systems documentation and technical assistance manuals. Ability to detect and resolve problems in application software. Ability to work effectively with other district personnel and work independently. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and initiative. Ability to provide training on Skyward Finance/HR and Student Ability to prioritize and track multiple complex projects, keep current with related trends and issues, recommend and monitor solutions that support district goals. Strong troubleshooting ability in order to identify, propose, or implement solutions to operational problems.Major Responsibilities and Duties:
