26-27 JOB SUMMARY Leads the district's summative assessment program including but not limited to STAAR, TELPAS, and College assessment programs. Supports campuses in their implementation of assessment requirements, organizes assessment program supports, creates and implements training for assessments, responds to incidents and test security with the highest level of integrity.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports the district's strategic direction for the district Summative Assessment department Creates and leads training for each of the assessment programs including on demand support for campuses during the assessment windows. Supports the Director in ensuring all incidents and security claims are handled in alignment with law and with integrity.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED
Works with other department staff to ensure alignment with the student assessment strategy and program district-wide. Communicates effectively with the Texas Education Agency, and HISD department staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree requiredWORK EXPERIENCE
3+ years' experience with Texas public school district summative assessment programs including the state and national assessments.SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION HISD

Work is non-standardized and widely varied, involving many complex and significant variables including significant time spent planning, evaluating complex solutions and issues, and negotiating outcomes. Strong analytic ability and inductive thinking are frequently required to devise new approaches to situations where previously accepted solutions have proven inadequate. Position regularly makes recommendations to management on areas of significance to the division. Regularly assesses and diffuses complex, and escalated customer issues. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for solving systemic customer service problems. Regularly explores alternative and creative solutions to meeting the needs of the customer within HISD's policies and guidelines.WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
