Everforth ECS is seeking a seasoned and passionate Data Architect to join our dynamic data team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). Our team supports a rapidly growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform that is focused on providing solutions that empower our Federal customers with the tools and capabilities needed to turn data into actionable insights. In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting our federal customer build an exciting, innovative, and consolidated BI solution. The tool you will be supporting helps to consolidate and simplify complex data streams across the organization and your work will directly empower senior leadership with a comprehensive, real-time understanding of the organization, arming them with the information needed to make strategic decisions. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and constructing a robust, efficient, and scalable data architecture that will form the backbone of the tool. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen, creative problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
Job Responsibilities:
Design and develop data architectures that seamlessly integrate various data sources and support the needs of our BI toolEnsure data architectures are optimized for high performance and scalability Establish and maintain data governance and security standards to ensure the integrity/security of data Identify data management improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with various stakeholders to understand customer challenges and translate business requirements into quality technical solutions (conceptual/logical data models, dashboards, reports, etc.)Be an active and collaborative member of an Agile/Scrum team and follow all Agile/Scrum best practicesHelp cultivate an environment that promotes customer service excellence, innovation, collaboration, and teamworkCollaborate with others as part of a cross-functional team that includes user experience researchers and designers, product managers, engineers, and other functional specialistsMentor data engineers and junior technical team members
Salary:
$150,000 - $160,000General Description of BenefitsMust be a US CitizenMust be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance7+ years of experience in data architecture, particularly in designing and delivering data architecture solutions and strategiesExperience working with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, and QuicksightStrong technical skills, including proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL, and experience with statistical analysisUnderstanding of DevOps, data architecture concepts, data modeling, ETL, data engineering, data governance, data privacy, and securityAbility to translate technical needs and impacts to the operational community and diverse audiencesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsComfortable working with diverse teams and delivering insightsExperience working with PostgreSQLAbility to work independently and proactively push forward projectsAbility to work comfortably in version control systems (e.g., Git)
