Overview Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Research Data Coordinator located in our Norfolk location.

Compensation Range:

$20.65 - $39.95. Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and peer leadership to Data Coordinators Assist with workload balancing, study assignments, coverage planning, and prioritization of high-risk data work. Assist with onboarding, orientation, and competency development for new Data Coordinators. Keeps current all applicable patient reporting and tracking functions Extrapolates data, completes case report forms, and ensures timely data submission in accordance with SOPs Actively prepares for and participates in monitoring and auditing activities. May assist with screening patients for potential study enrollment Assists with patient scheduling for procedures required to maintain protocol compliance Assists with coordinating patient follow-up visits and timely data submission Maintains research records in a confidential manner according to all applicable regulations Orders and maintains research supplies Other duties as assigned Qualifications Associate degree in healthcare, life sciences, business or a related field, bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent clinical research experience may be considered. Minimum of 3 years of clinical research data management experience preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology required Minimum of one year experience as a data coordinator required SoCRA or ACRP certification preferred

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in healthcare, life sciences, business or a related field, bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent clinical research experience may be considered.
