Job Description
Overview The State of Vermont is seeking a self-motivated, organized professional to join our team in Colchester, working directly with, and supporting the Vermont Army National Guard's Official Records/Administrative Services department. This position requires adaptability and the ability to task-switch as necessary between records management, reprographic work and postal operations while communicating with multiple departments and individuals within the State of Vermont Military Department and the Vermont National Guard. Ideal candidates should be flexible in task management with a high attention to detail to be able to adapt to changing priorities.

It is a Limited Service position, which is non-tenured and authorized for a specific period of time. Limited Service positions are established for specially funded projects or programs.

Environmental Factors Work is performed in a standard office setting, but some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. May be required to lift boxes 20 to 30 pounds. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in library or information sciences, public administration, information technology, or related field AND one (1) or more years of records and information management (RIM) experience in a government or corporate environment.
Preferred Qualifications Graduate level coursework or degree in information systems (MIS/MISM), library and information science (MLIS/MLS), public administration (MPA), or another related area of study, including Juris Doctor (JD).Total Compensation As a State employee you are offered a great career opportunity, but it's more than a paycheck. Examples of work include:
Identify VT Army National Guard (VTARNG) records and information in accordance with approved record schedules and ensure they are managed by the regulations established by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) and the Army Records and Information Management System. Manage the lifecycle of records in accordance with NARA-approved records disposition schedules. Produce duplications of various forms of digital format files and hardcopy documents. Process and receive letters, parcels, and packages in accordance with Department of Defense and Army policies. The work is performed in a standard office setting, but some travel may be required for which private means of transportation should be available. Will be required to lift boxes 20 to 50 pounds.
