Job Description

Cullman Electric Cooperative is seeking highly qualified, talented and motivated applicants for the position of GIS Systems Technician. The individual in this position will be responsible for assisting with the updating and maintenance of the Geographical Information System (GIS) for Cullman Electric Cooperative and the Cullman EC Metering & Data Analytics Operations. The successful candidate should have an Associate's degree in Computer Science/GIS Mapping from an accredited two-year college or technical school and a minimum of one (1) year related mapping experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with GIS Platforms, AMI Systems and Data Analytics are also preferred.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, AND REQUIREMENTS
Competencies for these positions include the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Must also work with integrity, uphold organizational values, and deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events. Knowledge, skills and abilities required include excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Windows based software for word processing, spreadsheet, and applicable GIS and CAD software. Candidates must demonstrate excellent skills in communication, public relations, and leadership and possess the ability to work as a team member.
