UCLA's Data Informed Futures team is seeking a GIS Analyst to prepare and analyze geospatial data, maintain high-quality spatial databases, and create maps and web-based products that support research, community planning, and action. You will collaborate with technical and nontechnical partners, translate complex data into understandable map products, and contribute to a national initiative focused on identifying and addressing geographic and social inequities in children's health and development. This is a limited position that may convert to career.
Salary Range:
$33.09

Hourly Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience or training. Working knowledge of GIS software, applications programming, database and table structure and design, user interface and experience design and web application development. Demonstrated project management skills. Understanding of cartographic skills to create spatially explicit map products Interpersonal skills to work well with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner Self-motivated, able to learn quickly, meet deadlines and demonstrate problem solving skills. Demonstrated strong commitment to customer service, attention to detail, and continuous improvement. Must pass a background check
Preferred:
Minimum two (2) years of related experience.
