Job Description
Assists with enterprise database maintenance, data distribution, creation of spatial data products, responding to customer inquiry, and supports integration of GIS data across the County. Provides technical knowledge as part of a team and has strong fundamentals in GIS, database editing, data analysis, and customer service. Will also support other IT projects and initiatives. Supports the design, maintenance and data integrity of the enterprise GIS database and other GIS-related applications, as applicable. Prepares, utilizes and maintains comprehensive documentation for the administration of address verification. Provide business analysis support, documentation (procedures and metadata), and data management support to County departments. Supports GIS integration into County applications including departmental coordination, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, implementation, monitoring, and configuration. May be assigned to assist in the administration of our addressing program by preparing, utilizing, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for the administration of address verifications and assignments, addressing standards and guidelines, including interactive collaboration documents that communicate the status and content of various assignments. Coordinates and communicates with the necessary individuals on address assignment status and related tasks. Provides guidance, technical assistance, and training to users. Interacts effectively with the public and partner organizations including cities, towns, public safety agencies, and special districts. May be assigned to provide support to the County's Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) team for mission planning, flight operations, and product deliverables. Supports the relationship between Pitkin County government and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with citizens, visitors, and County staff, providing GIS-related resources and technical assistance as appropriate; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and County information; performs other duties as required or assigned. Up to 1 year experience in a GIS Technology position and at least one year highly preferred. Bachelor's Degree required in GIS, Computer Science, Data Science, Business or Planning or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. FAA Part 107 Certification desired within six months of employment. Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
