Job Description

GIS Analyst Project Consulting Services, Inc. (PCS) is a consulting firm providing design and management services to the energy industry. PCS is seeking candidates for the position of GIS Analyst. This position is responsible for managing data generated during the design and construction of our infrastructure projects. As an integral member of our project teams, this position is responsible for data acquisition, mapping, and geospatial analysis. The selected candidate will work closely with engineers, environmental specialists, project managers, clients, and third parties to ensure the proper management of all spatial data. Responsibilities Acquire, organize, and maintain project-related data from internal, public, client, and third-party sources Research and confirm the accuracy of all data received through an extensive QA/QC process, ensuring client and government standards are met Develop spatial models for pipeline construction and as-built data analysis Produce high-quality maps for publications, websites (AGOL & Portal), and meetings with project stakeholders Perform geodatabase management and maintenance, including versioning, schema design, and enterprise (SDE) environments Communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications Education:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a GIS-related field Three or more years of professional experience with Esri software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online (AGOL) Understanding of key concepts and principles of geospatial data management, geoprocessing, and cartographic design Working knowledge of Python and/or ModelBuilder Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and set priorities
Preferred Qualifications Education:
MA/MS in Computer Science, Geography, Environmental Science, or a GIS-related field Experience with Survey Data (civil and as-built) Experience with Esri ArcGIS Server Experience with Esri Field Maps, Arcade, and ArcGIS extensions (3D Analyst, Network Analyst, Spatial Analyst) Experience with pipeline data models (PODS, UPDM, APDM) Experience involving linear infrastructure (pipelines, transmission lines, roads) Experience with FERC Sections 2.55, 157, and/or 7 projects Familiarity with non-Esri tools used in project workflows (e.g., QGIS, AutoCAD, SQL/relational databases) E-mail Resume/Questions to: jdavis2@projectconsulting.com
