  • C#• HTML• Python• SQL• SDK• J2EE• Scripting• ArcSDE•SummaryASSYST is seeking a GIS Programmer to support the application development and enterprise GIS initiatives in Towson, Maryland.

(Hybrid 3 Days Onsite and 2 Days remote)The programmer will assist in the upgrade and development of an Agricultural Preservation Model, upgrading the current custom ArcMap Add-In (C#/Python) to an ArcGIS Pro Add-In.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain custom applications in an Enterprise GIS environment.
  • Modernize the Agricultural Preservation Model by upgrading custom ArcMap Add-Ins (C#/Python) to ArcGIS Pro Add-Ins.
  • Design, build, and optimize enterprise relational databases, including writing SQL queries, triggers, and stored procedures.
  • Automate spatial workflows using Python, ArcGIS Model Builder, and Geoprocessing scripts.
  • Create reports and data dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
  • Perform code reviews, technical planning, system analysis, and project documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, GIS, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years developing and modifying applications using J2EE, .NET, JavaScript, HTML, C#, Python.
  • Minimum of three (3) years working with ESRI ArcGIS technologies including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS API's, ArcGIS JavaScript API, Esri SDK's, and ArcSDE.
  • Experience with ArcGIS Model Builder and Python.
  • Strong Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), Triggers, and Stored Procedures.
  • Development of reports using SSRS, Power BI.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases and concepts (Oracle, SQL Server preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills.
