The Nebraska Department of Water, Energy, and Environment (DWEE) is looking for an Information Technology Senior GIS Analyst/Developer to work closely with the Department's IT and GIS teams. We are looking for an individual with great communication skills, problem solving techniques, and GIS knowledge who will coordinate with DWEE staff in developing and maintaining our Department GIS systems, data, and applications. Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering or other related field and two years of experience, education, or training in coding computer applications; programming experience can be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree with major course work in GIS or another related field. Preference will be given to candidates possessing experience with ESRI software and applications.
Other:
Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Knowledge Of:
Familiarity with geospatial concepts, practices and procedures including coordinate systems, projections, topology, LiDAR and Elevation derivatives, geodatabase management, version control. Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, Story Maps, Dashboards, Web Experience Builder, and other applications as needed.
Skill In:
Python, SQL, Arcade, Azure DevOps Ability To:
