GIS Services Specialist Tyler Technologies $33,733 - $52,000 United States, York, Latham Aug 06, 2026 GIS Services Specialist Apply Online The GIS Specialist is responsible for performing the routine tasks of map implementation as well as more advanced technical tasks, when needed. The position requires the timely delivery of detailed GIS map products for use by clients. The position works and corresponds with clients/implementation specialists/project managers to gather the necessary information for a successful implementation. The position has great impact on the reputation of the company and ability to secure recurring revenue as well as billable work. Work with our integrated district management solutions that help school districts bridge information gaps across all departments. From school ERP to student information and transportation, you can help districts of all sizes achieve more by improving transparency between parents and schools, advancing operations, and enabling data-driven decisions. Location Latham, York Travel 0-5% Responsibilities Conduct intermediate-level analysis of GIS source data; input data into various GIS databases Performs quality-control checks of own work and others to ensure accuracy and completeness Work directly with clients/implementation consultants/project managers when appropriate Track time for billable work to be entered into various time management databases Must also be able to perform their duties with an appropriate level of supervision Encouraged to ask clarifying questions and seek help Deliver projects in a timely manner to meet client expectations Ensure that data is error-free while also meeting client deadlines Must be able to communicate effectively with the rest of the GIS team as well as with management Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Cartography, GIS or closely related field 3+ years of general GIS experience Experience in GIS with ESRI or open source GIS software Understanding and knowledge in geography and GIS principles Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a diverse group of people, including non-technical staff Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail Experience editing routing networks in a versioned SDE environment is a plus Familiarity with performing SQL queries is a plus State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements Salary will generally fall between $33,733 - $52,000 before adjustment for geographic differences.
