Job Description
Lone Rock Resources is seeking a full-time GIS Analyst to join our team. Headquartered in Roseburg, Oregon, Lone Rock Resources is a fourth-generation family-owned timber company with a proud past and an exciting future. Role:
As the GIS Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting our forestry team. This position will provide GIS support and services through a mixture of mapping, spatial analysis, and user training and support to help keep our operations running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:
- Fulfill GIS mapping and analysis requests in support of lands management and harvest operations
- Manage, develop, and maintain GIS databases to ensure data quality
- Support multiple GIS users with training, troubleshooting
- Perform spatial analysis for management plans and technical reports as necessary
Qualifications:
- Proficient with GIS software; experience with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online is a plus
- 2-year degree or higher in GIS, Forestry, or related field
- Team-oriented with a helpful attitude
- Strong attention to detail
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
