Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow GIS data best management practices and workflows. Familiar with ArcGIS Software Interface. Follow project and company standards. Accurately completes daily time report. Able to identify inconsistencies in drawings and communicate these issues of concern to supervisor. Generate output utilizing existing deeds, drawings, sketches or scanned images. Perform red-line edits. Assist with general office function such as printing and folding drawing. Work from various sources including in-house data and external sources. Create quality maps from requests with minimal supervision. Manage, compile, and update central base data for use in various departments. Work closely with other departments within the company to ensure that data and maps provided are sufficient and accurate. Self-check own work for completeness, accuracy and standards compliance. General understanding of coordinate system relationships. Use the file structure and workflows provided as well as establish workflows for existing tasks. Able to independently turn around small GIS requests and adapt to change quickly. Learns to master and accurately follow instructions from others. Follows basic QA/QC procedures. Communicate with project team. Willingness to assist team when necessary to help complete task/job. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Accountable to see that scope and deadlines are met.

Qualifications :

5+ years experience in GIS. Solid understanding of GIS user interface. Solid understanding of cartography, map projections, and coordinate systems. Works well with multiple tasks and various interruptions. GIS analysis skills and knowledge in remote sensing a plus. Proficient Skills using Microsoft Excel/Access.
