Job Description

Job Overview Are you interested in using maps, data, and technology to support the operation and development of one of the world's busiest airports? The Geospatial Data Internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience maintaining, analyzing, and visualizing geographic information. Working alongside experienced professionals, the intern will support geospatial data management, mapping, spatial analysis, and field data collection. This internship is designed for students pursuing a career in geographic information systems (GIS), geography, geospatial science, urban planning, engineering, data analytics, or a related field.
What you will be doing:
Assists with creating, updating, organizing, and maintaining geospatial datasets representing Airport facilities, infrastructure, property, utilities, transportation systems, and other physical assets. Supports the development of maps, dashboards, web applications, and spatial analyses that inform Airport planning, operations, asset management, and business decisions. Reviews and validates geospatial information to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established data and documentation standards. Assists with field data collection using GPS-enabled devices, mobile applications, aerial imagery, plans, records, and other available resources. Collaborates with team members and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and communicate findings through reports, presentations, maps, and other geospatial products.
What you need:
Must be an active student in a Bachelor's degree program in geographic information systems, information technology or related field. 18 years of age or older.

Current, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, including but not limited to the following Universities (University of North Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Texas at Dallas, Paul Quinn College, or University of Oklahoma) We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States.
