This position creates and maintains GIS layers for the City of Bryan's Public Works Department.
Hiring Pay Rate:
$23.00-$26.00/hour (depending on qualifications)
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday; 8am-5pm
Essential Job Functions:
Creates maps to assist maintenance crews on location of infrastructure. Coordinates the collection and entry of GPS data and incorporates the data into the GIS. Reads and interprets engineering drawings to add new infrastructure into the GIS. Updates GIS maps to reflect maintenance and repairs to existing infrastructure. Collaborates with other GIS users within the City of Bryan to maintain data integrity. Provides technical support to other GIS users within the city. Performs related duties as required. Responds regularly and promptly to work.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED plus at least 5 years of work experience utilizing GIS and GPS; or an Associate's degree with significant coursework in Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Sciences, Geospatial Technology, or a related field of study plus at least 3 years of work experience utilizing GIS and GPS; or a Bachelor's degree as previous listed plus at least 1 year work experience utilizing GIS and GPS. Working knowledge of ArcGIS Pro/ArcGIS Enterprise/ArcGIS Online.
