Full Job Description Job Overview:
Job Summary

•The Designer II Mapping will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining various geographical information system (GIS) maps and related data for Primoris Services Corporation projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company and client standards. Job Responsibilities

•Develop and produce detailed GIS maps, including site plans, utility layouts, right-of-way plans, and environmental overlays, using ArcGIS and other relevant software. Collect, process, and analyze geospatial data from various sources, such as GPS devices, aerial imagery, and existing databases. Perform quality control checks on maps and data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field personnel to understand project requirements and translate them into effective mapping solutions. Maintain and update GIS databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Prepare mapping deliverables for internal and external stakeholders, including hardcopy plots, digital files, and interactive web maps. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GIS software and data. Assist in the development of mapping standards, procedures, and best practices. Stay current with advancements in GIS technology and software. Job Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Cartography, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in GIS mapping and data management, preferably within the utility, construction, or engineering sectors. Proficiency in ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro) is required. Experience with GPS data collection and processing. Strong understanding of cartographic principles and map design. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey data, and construction plans. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines. Knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD software is a plus.
