Job Description
Job Summary:
Audubon Field Solutions is currently seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to join our Team in our Houston, TX office. The Senior GIS Analyst will perform analysis and data management tasks in association with survey and ROW activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Digitize and update pipeline and related energy industry infrastructure features in a spatial database using GIS software. Review and audit information collected from various data sources (source maps, aerial and satellite imagery, regulatory filings, etc.) used to digitize energy infrastructure features, identify and resolving discrepancies. Create hardcopy maps according to MAP Search specifications in GIS software. Utilize and maintain SQL scripts to perform basic routines in the utilization of a database Scan and geo-register maps; entering new data into a document database Extract digital data from departmental databases for delivery to clients. Collaborate with project leaders and engineers on GIS-related updates from pipeline construction projects.
Provide GIS software and GPS hardware support for field technicians.
Partner with subject matter experts to resolve discrepancies, improve data quality and provide solutions to problems or issues via GIS.
Develop process documentation and provide training to stakeholders.
Comply with all company and client health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as federal and local HSSE regulations.
Actively participate in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, and immediately report any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents to your supervisor.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Geosciences (Geography, GIS). Experience considered in lieu of degree.
Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Pro software including ESRI Apps like Field Maps/Survey 123/ArcGIS Online (AGOL)/ESRI Portal and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Required.
Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server), the Pipeline Open Database Standard (PODS), Utility Pipeline Data Model (UPDM), Python and Arcade Expression Language.
Experience with processing LiDAR and Photogrammetry Data-sets.
Experience with Geodatabase design and schema in ArcSDE.
