The Opportunity:

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Coordinator AWWD seeks an experienced GIS professional to help design, support, maintain, and enhance GIS solutions for our evolving utility. As our second GIS Coordinator, we're looking for a well-rounded, systemic thinker who is as comfortable managing data as they are implementing creative solutions. The best addition to our team will be an enthusiastic innovator who will learn the history behind a process and is willing to challenge their own assumptions; an inquisitive and active listener who has the confidence to say "I don't know" and the initiative to follow up and implement agile applications that align with the strategic direction of the District. Much of the region's thriving growth is landing directly in AWWD's service area. Meeting the needs of our growing customer population requires more efficient business processes, services, maps, and technology. Our new GIS Coordinator will play a critical role in developing and maintaining robust and accurate GIS applications. The District is currently working on an ambitious project to implement OpenGov Enterprise Asset Management that will integrate directly with our existing ESRI Utility Network and

architecture and it will also take advantage of our enterprise content management system (ECM) to manage documentation. Our technology group benefits from a variety of perspectives, cultures, philosophies, communication styles, experience, and talent. The successful candidate will partner with our existing GIS Coordinator, two IT Applications Administrators, Systems Administrator, Application Integrator, IT Project Manager, and the IT Applications Manager. Leading our IT group is a member of the District's Management Team, the IT Manager, who is responsible for helping us achieve our mission, vision, and values through the development and implementation of the District's technology programs.
